Kijaro makes it into another shop!

yesterday i had an appointment with the book store Folio Books in Brisbane City. it was a complete success! kijaro is now stocked there with some very other creative card creators. i also love going into this magic shop, there is inspiration and knowledge everywhere you look.

below is a list of where you can pick up some of my little artworks (or more commonly called greeting cards)

La Bella Donna at Morningside
The Inn Florist at Moorooka
Bleeding Heart Cafe in the City
Avid Reader at West End
The Nook at West End
Retro Metro at Paddington
The Swich at Ipswich
Precious Packages at Ipswich
Bathed in Beauty at Moorooka

i would love for kijaro to be found in a few more places so if you know of anywhere you think they would fit in please feel free to offer suggestions.

Retro Age

a little while ago i sent Ness from Retro Age a parcel in the mail, the old fashioned way, to say thank you for her pretty parcels of vintage fabric i receive every now and again. i use off cuts of original fabric for a lot of the cards i make for kijaro. i took her a little by surprise, receiving things in the mail these days, and she offered to do a little write up on me on her which you can see here. Retro Age specialise in vintage fabrics from all eras and they find some amazing pieces ready for you to create your dream dress or outfit. you should pop on over and have a look.

i hope that who ever receives my creations in the mail is as excited as Ness was. The art of the letter seems to be dying, and it is really quite sad. i am actually off to write some thank you notes for some of the items i have received from etsy lately, just to put a human touch on the whole online shopping experience. i challenge you to do the same for your next online purchase, or just to a friend or family member to let them know your thinking of them.  kijaro x

taking the leap

So here i am in the blogging world, i may have taken my time (truth be known i was a little scared, or maybe a lot) but i'm here now and ready to jump in. it may take me a while to get into the swing of things but at least its a start. i invite you all to come along for the journey that will be full of vintage finds, some of my creations and who knows what else. i hope you all enjoy the journey and come along for an adventure or two. kijaro x
